30th Year

November 7, 2008 marks a time for me to be 30. I wanted to share that sometimes it has brought me down, but someone once told me to look back and thank God for what He has blessed me with and what He has taught me. So, here goes.
1. I was blessed to be born on November 7, 1978. Having a healthy, beautiful, baby is a true miracle.
2. I was blessed to have Evangelical Christian parents who have always given me unconditional love and shown me with Christ all things are possible.
3. I was spared in a car accident when I was 3. You didn't have to wear seat belts then, and I could have died or lost my parents.
4. I was blessed January 1, 1986 with a beautiful baby brother, who I am just as thankful today as I was when I found out my mom was pregnant and God had answered my prayer.
5. I was saved by God's grace through Jesus Christ Spring of 1986.
6. I was blessed with a great boyfriend on December 20, 1994.
7. I was blessed to graduate from high school May 1997.
8. I was blessed to have gotten into East Carolina University and attend there. God gave me the ability to go and spread my wings a little. I truly had such a great experience. In December 2004, I graduated with BSN and prior May 2001 graduated with ADN--only by God's grace. November 2001 passing my boards was also by Gods' grace.
9. God taught me to give everyone a chance and to always be myself.
10. God taught me no matter how alone I feel, He is still right there with me.
11. God taught me that I need to be a friend to make a friend.
12. God taught me that when you feel the most down a banner for your birthday from people who are in your life for a short period of time, will be remembered forever.
13. God has taught me that you always need to forgive.
14. God has taught me who my true friends are.
15. God has blessed me with someone actually wanting to marry me and love me to infinity and beyond.
16. God has blessed me with a marriage of 7 years since July 14, 2001.
17. God has blessed me with 8 places to live since birth and my needs have always been met. I have always had clothing, shelter, food, and most of all love.
18. God blessed me with the opportunity to travel.
19. God taught me that it is a great privilege to live in America.
20. God has shown me His protection in so many ways, whether it was driving, walking or who I was with.
21. God has taught me to find blessings no matter where I am in life.
22. God has taught me to give Him all things through prayer. He is my life line.
23. God has taught me to use my talents to be a Sunday School teacher and Cubbie leader.
24. God has blessed me with a daily Bible Study.
25. God has blessed me with a husband who loves me very much. He knows how to truly be the man God has called Him to be in regards to being a husband and father to his children through focusing on God first.
26. God has taught me that the children He has given me need to feel loved, secure, know I am on their side no matter what, but most of all need Him in their lives in all areas.
27. God blessed me with a beautiful, healthy baby boy who brings even more joy to my life daily and is learning by leaps and bounds.
28. God's blessed me with a beautiful, healthy baby girl, who is growing up way too quickly. Her smile just makes me beam on the inside.
29. God taught me that the true legacy for your children isn't what you give them, it's who you give them...Him.
30. I have another year to celebrate what God has done for me and will continue doing in my life. In doing this list I saw I could truly go on and on. I can't even imagine all that He has done for me so far. Praise be to God!
