Hannah crawled for the first time Saturday night. She has been scooting and getting up on all fours for a while and we were just waiting for her to go. She sat herself up today for the first time. She is scooting and crawling and growing up so fast. Time sure flies by. I got her crawling on video tape today, but not sitting up by herself from a lying position. She is camera shy sometimes. I can't believe she'll be 8 months soon! I am excited to see all her changes and movements. It makes me want to cry, but at the moment I am an overjoyed, proud mommy.
Dillon, on the other hand, is passed this stage. He is learning his phone number, address, days of the week, months of the year, shapes, colors, his parents' names, his birthday, coloring, cutting, gluing, counting to 30, reciting ABC's, learning about patterns, and the same concept, learning the seasons, learning the letters and the sounds they make, and writing his whole name. His favorite thing is to read and do puzzles all by himself. The reading is a learning experience for the both of us with sounding out and "memorizing" words (or even looking at the picture and "memorizing" what mommy said). That's a start. He is learning to stand up for himself and playing and sharing.
Most important of all they are learning about the love of God, even now. Dillon shows God's love to us and especially his baby sister. He loves her so much. Her excitement for him is unexplainable. He also loves his dog, Holly. He is so kind and loving. She is a cuddle er, but doesn't want to miss anything. Our prayer is for their health, continuing to grow mentally, socially, physically, and most importantly with the Lord. We are so proud of the two of them.
