Everyone has heard this for the bride for her wedding day. Well, the same went for me yesterday when Brian and I renewed our vows. Brian surprised me with a bouquet of flowers and a boutonniere for himself. We tied a blue ribbon around the bouquet. I had two dimes that were the old thing. They were from 1951 and 1955, the two years of my parents' births. I borrowed my mother's pearl necklace. I wore a new dress. All things were covered. It really made it really special to add this bit of wedding tradition again on the day of renewing our vows.
