VBS

Photobucket
We had a fun, exciting, and tiresome week at VBS this past week from Sunday to Friday night. It was called the Boomerang Express. It all comes back to Jesus. We had one of the preschool groups of 4 averaging 19 kids per night in just our group. About 400 kids were in the whole VBS. Our first stop was snack. We made sandwich kabobs, pancakes with coolwhip and jelly, trains with graham crackers, chocholate, and marshmellows, kaola crunch--trail mix, and then smores for the final night. Our next stop was crafts where the kids made a boomerrang, a fish, a suncatcher, handkerchief, and a mirror. Our third stop was Bible storytime and music. The kids learned Bible verses, songs, and danced. Our final stop was recreation. They played games like kickball, limbo, bean bag toss, running, and bubbles. Each night started out with an opening assembly and closed with an assembly. They gave each child a CD of the VBS songs and that's all Dillon wants to listen to in the car. Each parent says that's all they have in their heads are the VBS songs. Could be worse!! Thank you God for VBS and for all the kids and families who brought each child!
