We had a great Christmas this year. We went to NUMC Christmas Eve and then ate at Mom and Dad's for dinner. We got home and Brian read the Christmas story out of the Bible. We then opened up two presents at home (suppose to be one) and then everyone was in bed for the night. We got up and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, blew out his candles and then did our 25th day of Christmas ring by celebrating our Saviour's birthday by exchanging our own presents. We opened up gifts with Kay and Levi and then with mom, dad, John, and Becky later that night.
Every December I make 25 rings for something for us to do as a family every night to remember Christmas. We also have a shoebox to put "hay" in every time we see someone doing something nice or helpful. Then baby Jesus will have a nice place to sleep on Christmas morning. It's easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of shopping and presents the true meaning and even not even get in the Christmas spirit all together, but doing these little things help us to remember Jesus in the Reason for the Season.
