Dillon and I were doing his devotion tonight prior to bedtime. (As an added note, I by myself, had all 3 in the bed and looked at the clock and it was 8:01). It is always neat to hear what his answer or insight may be. There were two quotes tonight to be discussed with your parents. Dillon spoke of these quotes with such authority. The first quote was about the song of Jesus living on and on. Dillon said this was about Jesus putting us in a jail of goodness and trying to keep us from sin, but that we can leave the goodness if we want to into sin again. The second quote was about salvation. He proceeded to tell me about the bad people putting Jesus on the cross, but that it was Jesus' choice. He then explained that one bad guy asked Jesus into his heart on the cross right before he died. Dillon said they went to heaven at the same time, which made them twins. I told him they weren't twins, but they were in heaven together. It was so intriguing to hear him explain things to me and keep going on and on and on with his explanations. He's just like his mommy when it comes to talking. Most of the time I feel overloaded with all the sounds, music, talking, TV, etc. around me on a daily basis. I truly was able to not only enjoy his story, but spend quality time with him. I focused on his right dimple every time he said certain things. It is just so precious. At times like these, I wish I could hold on to the moment forever. Thank you Lord for this opportunity to be still with my child and see you through his eyes, AMEN.
